Pazhasi Raja was having 3 main streams of Armies which supported him in the struggle against the invaders.
They were
1. Kurichiar community – This team was led by Chandu.
2. Nair Warriors – An army under the leadership of Kunkan.
3. Tribal force – A fighting forest soldiers. Their leader was Raman.
Chandu, Kunkan and Raman were in the forefront of the fight against all the imperial forces to safeguard the wealth of Wayanad.
As a tribute to these 3 brave men, we coined our brand as the name CHandu+KUnkan+RAman to be known as CHKURA
